Q: When Should I tap?

A: You need days above freezing and nights below freezing for the best sap runs. Tapping is usually between 2/15-3/10.

Q: How deep should I drill a tap hole?

A: Hole depth is between 1" - 2.5"

​

Q: How many gallons of sap does itt take to make a gallon of syrup?

A: It depends on the sugar content of the sap but the average is 40 gallons of sap for 1 gallon of syrup.

Q: What size should I drill the tap hole?

A: There are two sizes available 5/16th and 7/16th.
